Check your computer's Time/Date Settings

Sometimes your browser does not accept cookies because the Time/Date in your task bar is set to an incorrect date.

To adjust your Time/Date:

1. Click [Start], point to Settings, and then click [Control Panel].
2. Double-click [Date/Time].
3. On the Date & Time tab, set your computer's date to the current date.
4. On the Time Zone tab, be sure your correct time zone is selected. (our most common problem!)
5. Click [OK].

1. In the Menu bar, select:
   Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Advanced.
   The Advanced Privacy Settings box appears.
2. In the Cookies section, choose Override automatic cookie handling.
3. Under First-party Cookies, select Accept.
4. Under Third-party Cookies, select Accept.
5. Select Always allow session cookies.
6. Click OK to close the Advanced Privacy Settings box.
7. Click OK to close Internet options.
8. Close all Web browsers.
9. Open a new browser.

Internet Explorer 5

1. In the Menu bar, select
   Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Custom Level tab.
2. In Allow Cookies that are stored on your computer, click Enable.
3. In Allow per-session cookies (not stored), click Enable. Click OK.
4. Save the settings.

1. In the Toolbar, select Edit > Preferences.

1. In the Menu, select Preferences > Privacy icon.
2. Enable the Cookies option.
3. Close the window.

Opera

1. In the File menu, select Preferences > Privacy.
2. Choose Enable Cookies.
3. In the Normal Cookies pull-down menu, choose Automatically accept all cookies.
4. In the Third Party pull-down menu, choose Automatically accept all cookies.
5. Click OK.

Macintosh Browsers

Safari 1.0

1. In the Menu, select Preferences > Security icon > Accept Cookies.
2. Choose either of:
   Always (most convenient) or
   Only from sites you navigate to (more secure).

Internet Explorer 5

1. In the Menu, select Edit > Select Preferences
for Receiving Files option.
2. Select Cookies.
3. For When receiving cookies, select your desired level.
4. Click OK.

Camino

1. In the Menu, select Preferences > Privacy icon.
2. Enable the Cookies option.
3. Close the window.

Opera

1. In the File menu, select Preferences > Privacy.
2. Choose Enable Cookies.
3. In the Normal Cookies pull-down menu, choose Automatically accept all cookies.
4. In the Third Party pull-down menu, choose Automatically accept all cookies.
5. Click OK.

America Online (AOL) Browsers

AOL 8.0

1. In the Toolbar, select Preferences > Internet Properties > Privacy tab > Advanced.
2. Deselect the Override automatic cookie handling button.
3. Click OK to exit.

AOL 7.0 with IE 6

1. In the Toolbar, select Settings > Preferences > Internet Properties > Privacy tab > Advanced.
2. De-select the Override automatic cookie handling button.
3. Click OK to exit.

AOL 7.0 with IE 5.5

1. In the Toolbar, select Settings > Preferences > Internet Properties > Security tab > Custom Level tab.
2. At Allow Cookies that are stored on your computer, click Enable.
3. At Allow per-session cookies, click Enable.
4. Select OK.
5. Save the settings.

AOL 6.0

1. In the Toolbar, select Settings > Preferences > Select Internet Properties > Security tab > Custom Level tab.
2. At Allow Cookies that are stored on your computer, click Enable.
3. At Allow per-session cookies, click Enable.
4. Select OK.
5. Save the settings.

Modify your security/firewall/anti-virus software settings

Security/firewall/anti-virus software can sometimes affect how browsers handle cookies. Please make sure you have cookies enabled in your software, or add "prodataresearch.com" to your "safe list" of sites.

Zone Alarm

1. In Zone Alarm, select Privacy.
2. Under Cookie Control, click Custom
3. In Custom Privacy Settings:
   1. Uncheck the box that says "Block session cookies"
   2. Uncheck the box that says "Block persistent cookies"
   3. Uncheck the box that says "Remove private header information".
   4. Uncheck the box that says "Expire Cookies"
4. Click OK.

Norton Personal Firewall

1. Double click on the Norton Personal Firewall icon in the tray.
2. Click on the Open option in the pop-up menu.
3. Click the Options icon in the Norton SystemWorks menu box.
4. Click on the Personal Firewall option in the Options menu box.
5. Click the Advanced Options button at the bottom of the Norton Personal Firewall Options menu box to retrieve the default settings menu box.
6. Make sure you are in the "Web" tab. There may be several domains already listed in this area.
7. Click on the Add Site button at the bottom of the Web defaults window.
8. You will need to enter "prodataresearch.com" (without the quotes) as a new default. This should active the default rules section of that window.
9. Make sure the Cookies and Referer (under Browsing Privacy) are set to permit as a default rule for the prodataresearch.com domain.
10. Click OK, then click OK again.

McAfee Privacy Service

1. Right-click the red "M" icon by your system clock.
2. Click "Privacy Service."
3. Click "Options."
4. The McAfee Privacy Service window appears. Click the "Cookies" tab.
5. Enter each website address from which you would like to allow cookies.
6. Click "Add."
7. Once completed, close the window.

Enabling Pop-ups in your Browser

Most pop-ups today are blocked by the browser, a toolbar, or by 3rd party software. Pop-ups, though they more often and not are nusaunces, can be useful. In order to received leads, a pop-up will direct to login to the system. To make sure that your pop-up blocker is disabled, follow the instructions below for your specfic pop-up blocker.

3. Under the Notifications and Filters Level, make sure that the checkbox for Show Information Bar when pop-up is blocked is checked
4. Click Close to close Pop-up Blocker Settings

Netscape Browser

1. In the Menu Bar, Select:
   Tools > Popup Manager > Manage Pop-ups
2. In the Allow pop-ups from the following sites section, click Add for each of the following addresses:
   
   • *.prodataresearch.com


3. Click OK to close Manage Pop-ups

Firefox Browser

1. In the Menu Bar, Select:
   Tools > Options
2. Click Allowed Sites for Block Pop-up Windows
3. In the Address of web site section, click Allow for each of the following addresses:

4. Click OK to close Allowed Sites
5. Click OK to close Options

Opera Browser

1. With your Opera browser open, press F12 on your keyboard
2. Click Accept All Pop-ups from the Quick Preference window
3. Change the settings back to their original state after you leave the Pro Data Research site
